PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY
All Australian health services are required to comply with legislation and regulations which protect the use and disclosure of personal information. We are committed to maintaining the highest standard in protecting the privacy of our service users in whatever format therapy is provided.
We are required by law to ensure that all personal and health information pertaining to patients and staff remains confidential.
The Blue Hub complies with all legislations relating to privacy and confidentiality including:

The Blue Hub cannot use or disclose personal health information without consent of the individual except required, authorised or permitted under law such as when risk of harm to self, others or risk of suicide or a criminal act.
The Blue Hub must also comply with any subpoena requests for file and or other information.

The Blue Hub is also committed to ensuring ongoing growth and education within the field of Social Work. We are proud to offer ongoing opportunities to Final Year Social Work students.
As of 2025 we will have students on placement up to 3 times per year.
Social work placements are generally 500 hours or 3.5 months duration.
At The Blue Hub we believe in a strengths based, solution focused approach to counselling. We work collaboratively with our patients to identify their strengths and build on them to achieve positive outcomes. At The Blue Hub it is not our job to fix patients, it is our job to assist our patients to build their own skills to help themselves to stabilise their mental health & well being so that they might reach their full capacity for life & move toward achieving their goals.
This is a private practice
We are not government funded and do not bulk bill unless first discussed with Liz, except for pensioners, Veterans, & Victims of Crime.
We have one provider (Liz) who works under Medicare GP Mental Health Plan which offers 10 sessions per year with
$110 per session with a rebate of $85.20
Sessions are 50 minutes duration unless booked as an EMDR session which is 75 min long & will be billed at a higher rate.
Payments are due on the day of consult with rebates processed by the next day.
Liz also works with Veterans via Open Arms, TAC, Work Cover Vic & NSW & Victms of Crime Vic & NSW
All of our therapist can work under NDIS
Kim & Steph are not Medicare providers as such, unless seeing children under PHN, or other patients via NDIS or VOCAT there will be full Fees applied to these sessions.
Costs can be provided via our admin.
Our PHN service is limited to children 5 - 12 years (open to low-income families).
We have a capped number of sessions available.
Once the maximum number of sessions are reached there may be a cost involved if a child/ family require ongoing support.
Liz also provides a unique service to all patients and the general public. previously only available via her app BlueHubHealth available via Apple Store and Google Play.
But as of March 2025. Liz will provide this service directly from our webpage.

These can be purchased in store or an invoice can be provided for NDIS, TAC, Worksafe or any other funding body.
We also provide Floatation Therapy to the general public, via pre-bookings
Float Therapy sessions are available to clients over the age of 16, pre-existing health conditions must be disclosed. No alcohol or drug use prior to or during sessions. One person only in the float tank at a time. All participants must shower and wash hair before float session. No products such as skin cream, hair spray, perfume, deodorant or bubble bath are permitted in the float tank.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at any time due to failure to comply to our policies & procedures, including safe and respectful conduct.
